Bridging spatial proteomics and classical histopathology: advanced spatial analysis through H&E-enhanced multiplexed immunoprofiling
This work demonstrates how combining same-slide H&E with multiplex immunofluorescence enhances spatial interpretation, enabling precise tumor/stroma segmentation, improved annotation accuracy, and richer biological insights. Using GAN-based H&E→mIF fusion and deep learning, the study shows how H&E can boost downstream spatial proteomics workflows.
