ASHG Poster 2023: Interrogating immuno-oncological interactions in the tumor microenvironment

Introduction

Spatial transcriptomic profiling of tumors reveals the spatial context of tumor cells and their interactions with surrounding components like immune cells, stroma, and vasculature. Single-cell resolution is crucial for studying these dynamics. The Vizgen MERSCOPE® Platform, based on MERFISH (Multiplexed Error-Robust Fluorescence in situ Hybridization) technology, measures RNA expression of hundreds of genes with sub-cellular resolution in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) and frozen sections.1 Using this platform and our Predesigned Immuno-oncology Panel*, we examined cell subtype distribution in human lung cancer samples, demonstrating the ability of MERFISH to spatially profile gene expression and reveal the spatial dynamics of cell populations.
