Vizgen is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and supports all efforts to mitigate this coronavirus. In addition, we strive to advance science by helping researchers apply the power of MERFISH and spatial omics to unravel the many remaining mysteries of COVID-19 while keeping our employees, partners, and customers healthy and safe.
Vizgen continuously assesses the state, national and global situation and analysis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Here in Massachusetts the Department of Public Health is a key resource in guiding our daily operations.
On the national level, Vizgen is informed by the CDC, the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center including their daily tracker, The COVID Tracking Project and the World Health Organization.
Currently Vizgen employees are working remotely from home and scientists are working in the research lab. We maintain stringent protocols regarding health screenings, physical distancing, wearing masks and hand washing, and maintaining a low-density environment for the health and safety of our team. As we acclimate to a new normal and navigate this uncharted landscape, we will update our approach accordingly.
We would like take this opportunity to thank our Cofounder, Dr. David Walt, who is co-leading the Mass General Brigham Center for COVID Innovation that was established to help coordinate, facilitate and rapidly develop innovations for the most pressing COVID-19 issues affecting patients, health care workers and the community.
Finally, we would be remiss if we did not end by extending our heartfelt thanks to all the front-line healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to care for those affected by COVID-19; they are the heroes of the pandemic.
Take care and best wishes,
The Vizgen Team & Board of Directors
