What do you do at Vizgen?
I love the industry and the diversity of early-stage office management/operations – specifically, the cross-departmental collaboration – you can really see the effects of your impact across the organization. I’m very nurturing by nature, and it brings me fulfillment to take care of people, which this position allows me to do daily. I love finding creative ways to help people love where they work and truly enjoy the time they spend here with their professional family! I feel that my college Theatre major has provided me wonderfully applicable tools to help connect with others and provide fantastic customer service relations with employees and vendors.
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
Our people – studying different personality types and work styles has taught me a great deal about flexibility and adapting to different communication styles!
What are the values that drive you?
Be accountable/impeccable with your word, communicate with respect, Work FUN, put people first, and remember that complacency is the death of progress. I always try to make others feel important and SEEN – that is often something others struggle with, especially in service roles. Knowing someone’s name, showing you remember little details helps others feel confident that you’re invested in them.
What do you like about working at Vizgen?
I found a talent for helping build companies and wanted to return to a grass-roots organization to build the organization and culture. I enjoy getting a first-hand look at the sheer dedication and passion of those working to get this technology to customers. The diversity in our team is incredible, and I’ve learned such a vast amount of new information in a short time. I loved the technology that Vizgen is creating, and the passion for their mission is contagious!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
You can find me performing with my charity rock band Almost the Cure to raise money to send kids with Epilepsy to college, binging my favorite TV shows/movies, cooking, DIY projects – especially upcycling old items into new/refinished pieces, enjoying a gorgeous meal out on the town or just cuddling my two kitties!
